Founder member of Spanish Woman Project Managers
Ms. María Solana, in addition to her accomplished career in law, is a founding member of the Spanish Women Project Managers.
This initiative brings together dynamic and driven female project managers from Spain, promoting diversity and empowering women within the project management field. Her role in the project underlines her commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity within her professional sphere, further strengthening her profile as a comprehensive legal and project management professional.María Solana Seguí, embarked on her legal career in the year 2000.
She pursued a Master’s degree in Territorial, Environmental, and Urban Planning from the Faculty of Engineers of Roads, Ports, and Canals of Valencia University. This master’s program, tailored for engineers and architects, equipped her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of property-related legal matters.
María Solana’s specialization did not go unnoticed, and she was entrusted with the role of Head of Legal and Urban Department at a prominent capital investment and real estate construction company.
Parallel to her role as a company lawyer, María Solana pursued continuous professional development. She obtained international certifications in project management and also as a Civil Mediator and undertook further academic pursuits by enrolling in a Master of Practice in Law program at the Alicante Bar Association-University of Alicante.
She opened her own law firm in 2008. This strategic decision allowed her to dedicate her efforts to serving international clients with excellence and precision.
María Solana has become a recognized authority in the field of Property Law.
She extends her expertise by providing guidance and training to legal teams and social workers within the Houses Departments of select city councils of Alicante Province.
Her legal acumen extends beyond traditional practice, as evidenced by her pivotal role as the lawyer and project manager for some city councils and also the Valencian Government.
In this capacity, she oversaw the implementation of European Funds for the renovation and enhancement of energy efficiency in residential buildings and homes, a responsibility she discharged from January 2022 to February 2023.
In addition to her expertise in Property Law, María Solana has made substantial contributions to the field of Legal Project Management.
She serves as a chair member of the Spanish Woman Project Managers, reflecting her commitment to advancing the profession.
María Solana is a sought-after speaker at international congresses, seminars, and is a lecturer at several Spanish universities and business schools, including the European Business School of Amsterdam, among others.
